THE BETA PROGRAM/DEVIOUS BY DC/v6.1

Break it before
we ship it.

The app is live in closed beta on iOS and Android. We want testers who actually run a dynamic — not tourists. You get the builds early. We get your bug reports, your edge cases, and your honesty.

· READ THIS FIRST ·

This is a beta.
Data loss is possible.

We are still changing how the backend works, and some of those changes can break pairings or lose shared data — permanently, in some cases. Don't put anything in here during beta that you would be devastated to lose.

When something does break, telling us is what makes the finished app solid. That's the trade.

· WHAT YOU'RE SIGNING UP FOR ·

No perks.
Just the build.

Beta is a working relationship, not a waitlist. Here's the deal, stated plainly.

· 01 ·
Early
builds
New builds land here first, rough edges included. Expect things to break. That's the job.
· 02 ·
Real
input
Report bugs and shape what ships — straight to feedback@getdevious.app. We read everything. We don't promise to act on all of it.
· 03 ·
Spread the
word
Find a bug? Report it. Love it? Tell everyone. Talk the app up all you like — word of mouth is how it grows.
· 04 ·
No
payment
It's unpaid. You're here because you want the thing to be good, not for a t-shirt. There is no t-shirt. There is, however, the arrangement below.
A
Premium is switched on for the whole beta. Not a perk — you can't test what you can't see.
B
Three months of Premium, free, when we launch. Yours for testing, whether or not you ever file a report.
C
A one-time code for 50% off your first year — if you've sent us at least three reports we could act on. A bug we can reproduce, or feedback that changes something. "Looks good" doesn't count, and we'll tell you if something didn't land.
· WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR ·

Testers,
not tourists.

01PlatformiOS 16+ or Android 12+, on a device you actually use daily.
02ContextYou run or are part of a D/s dynamic. Solo testers welcome too.
03CadenceWilling to update every one to two weeks and file the odd report.
04Word of mouthReport bugs to us — and tell people about the app. Loudly.
· HOW IT WORKS ·

Apply. Install.
Report.

01
Apply.
Fill the form below. Tell us your platform and roughly how you'd use it. Thirty seconds.
02
Get the invite.
If there's a slot, you get a TestFlight (iOS) or Play internal-testing (Android) link and you're in.
03
Test and report.
Install, use it for real, report what's broken through the in-app channel. New builds arrive as they're cut.

ROLLING OUT · PLAY CLOSED BETA
The keyboard gets out of the way. Everywhere.
FIXEDTyping no longer happens blind. Android's newer edge-to-edge display quietly switched off the thing that used to make room for the keyboard, so on most screens the keyboard simply sat on top of whatever you were typing. We'd fixed exactly one sheet and assumed the rest followed. It didn't. This build rewires keyboard handling across the whole app — every screen, sheet and modal now moves the field you're typing into view above the keyboard.
FIXEDOne tap, not two. With the keyboard open, tapping a button used to spend the first tap just closing the keyboard. Buttons next to the keyboard now respond the first time.
KNOWN ISSUES
  • The Toys tab is still a teaser — the first device isn't here yet.
BUILD 2026.07.27 · v1.0.2
SHIPPED · BOTH PARTNERS MUST UPDATE
We found out what "unpair" actually did.
FIXEDUnpair deleted everything with no warning — on two of three buttons. Unpairing immediately destroys every shared thing between you: tasks, rules, contracts, journal entries, chat. That was always true. What wasn't true was that we told you. Two of the three unpair buttons had no confirmation at all — one tap and it was gone. All three now say plainly what they do, and point you at Disconnect if you might reconnect.
CHANGEDThe connection key stays available for the full 48 hours. It used to be shown once and lost the moment you closed the app — which guaranteed data loss for anyone who didn't write down eight words on the spot. It now survives a restart, can be shown again from the disconnect screen, and has a Copy button so you can send it to your partner instead of reading it out.
ADDEDHow pairing works, in the app. Under YOU. Plain language: how pairing is made, what we can and can't see, and — the part people get wrong — the difference between Disconnect and Unpair. Pairing again after either one gives you an empty relationship, not your history back.
ADDEDA warning if you have no recovery codes. Force-quitting the codes screen at signup left you with an account you could never recover, and nothing ever mentioned it again. Profile now tells you, until you generate a set.
CHANGEDMessages are deleted from our servers as soon as your partner's phone has them, instead of sitting there for seven days. Our privacy policy claimed this already. It wasn't true. Now it is.
CHANGEDReconnect keys are longer and harder to attack. Eight words instead of six, and slower to guess at. Existing 48-hour windows still work with the key you already have.
FIXEDA pile of things you can't see. An ex-partner could cancel your scheduled purge from outside the app. A failed unpair told you it had worked. Two ways to keep a subscription you'd stopped paying for. A wipe command that didn't check who was asking. None were exploited; all are closed.
REMOVEDDevice settings are hidden for now. The hardware spec is still moving, so settings that push to a device nobody has yet were just noise. They'll come back with the device.
KNOWN ISSUES
  • Both of you must update. This build changes the format of things the two phones agree on. Until your partner updates too, pairing and reconnecting between you will misbehave.
  • Server changes went out ahead of this build. If you're still on 1.0.1, expect vault and pairing errors until you install this one.
  • The Toys tab is still a teaser — the first device isn't here yet.

LIVE · PLAY CLOSED BETA
The journal starts talking back.
ADDEDJournal prompts, computed on your phone. The entry screen now offers a starting line built from your own signals — lock day, streaks, tasks done or dodged, contracts, points. Fifteen context prompts plus a rotating bank for quiet days. Nothing is sent anywhere; even the suggestions are computed locally.
ADDEDMood, one tap. Stamp an entry 😈 🔥 😊 😐 😔 😤 while you write — it shows beside the date when you read it back.
CHANGEDPremium covers the whole dynamic. One subscription now covers you and up to 5 paired partners — they never pay a cent. A pair-granted Premium can't be re-shared onward.
CHANGEDGroups open up. Free members can now see and join a partner's group boards. Creating groups stays Premium.
CHANGED"Pro" is now "Premium". One name, everywhere in the app.
CHANGEDNew accent presets: Signal Red, Electric, Violet, Soft Pink. Green and gold are retired — if you had one selected you're back on Signal Red; re-pick under YOU → Personalization, or dial any colour on the wheel with Premium.
CHANGEDCSV export is free for everyone. Your data is yours — exporting it will never be paywalled.
KNOWN ISSUES
  • Purchases are switching on during this beta — if the plan sheet is empty or a purchase won't complete, Google is still propagating the products.
  • The Toys tab is a teaser — the first device isn't here yet.
BUILD 2026.07.21 · v6.1
SHIPPED · TESTFLIGHT + PLAY CLOSED BETA
The closed beta opens.
ADDEDRole-aware from first launch. You tell the app who you are — Dominant, submissive, switch or solo. Nothing is assumed; no default role, ever.
ADDEDThe dynamic, kept properly. Assign tasks and standing rules, set points and deadlines, and rule on what's submitted. A five-tab, role-aware home shows your side of it.
ADDEDThe long game. Track ongoing rules and time-based arrangements across a dynamic — the standing commitments, not just one-off tasks.
ADDEDProof, encrypted. Task-proof images are end-to-end encrypted on your device before they ever leave it — uploaded, reviewed, and revocable.
ADDEDEncryption you can audit. Chat, shared data and proofs are sealed with per-dynamic keys. The crypto core is open source — read it yourself at github.com/Devious-Creations/E2EE-Core.
ADDEDMultiple subs, one view. Manage more than one dynamic from aggregated Dominant screens.
ADDEDA clean way out. End a dynamic with the kill switch — both sides fully unpair and the shared data is purged on both ends. No residue.
ADDEDYour business stays yours. Handle-only identity, in-app blocking and reporting, and account deletion that wipes your partner-shared data.
ADDEDMake it yours (Pro). Custom accent colour and a custom honorific for Pro members.
CHANGEDTask proof now uses the system Photo Picker — the app only sees the image you pick, never your library.
CHANGEDCrash reporting is opt-in, off by default. Nothing leaves your device unless you turn it on.
FIXEDNew app icon and animated launch screen; sign-in reflects immediately; bottom bars no longer overlap the system navigation.
KNOWN ISSUES
  • Purchases aren't live in beta yet — subscription options may appear but won't complete.
  • The Toys tab is a teaser — the first device isn't here yet.
